Where Every Kid Can Play, Move, and Belong.

After a long day of sitting still at school, kids need to move — to run, laugh, and let their energy out. That’s what our sports programs are all about. At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Valley, every child gets a chance to play — no tryouts, no pressure, just pure fun. Whether your child is competitive, curious, or just learning the ropes, the environment is welcoming, upbeat, and full of encouragement. From learning the rules of a new game to high-fiving teammates after a great play, kids gain confidence, make friends, and discover how good it feels to stay active. Every day is a new opportunity to move, grow, and belong!

Frequently Asked Questions

My kid hasn't played sports before... Will they feel out of place?

Not at all. Our sports and recreation time is designed for every child — not just the athletes. It’s all about having fun, trying new things, and staying active with friends. There are no tryouts, no pressure, and no keeping score — just a great way to move and feel good.

Will my kid still have time for homework?

Yes! Sports are part of the after-school routine — not extra on top of it. Clubs make sure there’s time for both movement and study, so kids get to burn off energy, focus better, and feel balanced before heading home.

Do they need to bring equipment or uniforms?

Nope! We provide everything they need. Clubs have all the gear and supplies ready to go.

Why are sports and active play such a big part of the Club?

Kids need to move! Physical activity helps them burn energy, manage emotions, make friends, and feel great about themselves. These moments of play build confidence, teamwork, and healthy habits that last long after the game ends.

How do I find out what’s offered at our Club?

Each Club can be a little different in what they offer and when. Programs may rotate throughout the year. The best way to get the latest info is to call your local Club directly — staff will happily walk you through what’s available right now.
