3. How We Support Families

Empowering Kids, Empowering Families Through High-Quality, Affordable Programs That Stay Open Late

Whether it is during summer camp, after-school time, or in one of our other enrichment programs, BGCAZ offers unique experiences in the arts, physical fitness, character development, and leadership training. We also provide our kids with proven educational programs and academic support — along with plenty of healthy fun and recreation.

Our caring, professional, well-trained staff help to empower children and young adults to succeed in school, to develop mentally and emotionally, and to reach their full potential as responsible, caring, productive citizens.

At just $40-$80 per month during the school year (including snacks and a hot, nutritious dinner at no additional cost), BGCAZ is not only affordable — it is the best deal around!

We support families’ work schedules by staying open until 7 pm, ensuring that parents are able to fulfill their work obligations without worrying about their children’s safety or well-being.

Learn More: BGCAZ Leadership, Board of Directors

  • At the Club, we keep our kids safe, provide them with resources and space to accomplish their homework, let them play, and instill values focused on leadership, character and friendship. Club kids enjoy nutritious, hot meals and healthy snacks.
  • Nearly 97% of BGCAZ juniors and seniors expect to graduate from high school, surpassing the State average.
  • East Valley Clubs award almost $50,000 in scholarships each year toward post-secondary education.
  • East Valley Clubs achieve an exceptional 98% standard of on-time grade progression.
  • By 12th grade, almost twice as many Club members report that they volunteer at least monthly (68%) than their peers nationally (39%).
  • Only 20% of our revenue comes from Program & Membership fees, and East Valley Clubs provide over $370,000 in financial assistance to families. We never turn a child away due to financial limitations.
  • Our proven programs are delivered by trained, caring Youth Development Professionals in a safe environment that encourages kids to explore their interests, conquer their fears, make new friends, and follow their dreams!
