Arizona teen driving deaths are on the rise. According to the Governors Highway Safety Association, the first six months of 2012 saw nine teens become victims of motor vehicle accidents, compared to two in 2011, and only one in 2010.

Young people at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix are on the path to a successful future thanks to their participation in BE GREAT: Graduate, a national education initiative sponsored by University of Phoenix Foundation. On May 15 and 17, Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix held special celebrations for 19 youth who are on the path to academic success and recognized their volunteer mentors.

Ross Stores, Inc., is underwriting the expansion of the successful Power Hour program at three Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix branches in Phoenix and the West Valley. Power Hour helps young people develop academic, behavioral and social skills through homework completion, high-yield learning activities and tutoring.

On Friday, Dec. 6, all 13 Dutch Bros. Coffee locations in Arizona will donate 50 cents from every drink sold to the Boys & Girls Club of Phoenix. It’s Dutch Bros. Coffee’s annual Buck for Kids Day, when all 213 locations in seven states donate drink proceeds to youth programs selected by local owner-operators.

Batter up! The tee ball team from the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Phoenix’s Tri-City West Branch is wrapping up their season in major league fashion. Several Cleveland Indians Rookie League players will visit the Club for a tee ball on September 27 and October 3!
