Waymo Rides Cut Transportation Stress in Half for Valley Teens

Getting to work shouldn’t be the hardest part of a teen’s first job. ABC15 covered AZYouthforce’s end-of-summer celebration at the Club, highlighting BGCAZ’s Phoenix AV Youth Mobility Study. In the randomized trial, 30 teen interns either rode Waymo vehicles to their internships or got there as they normally would. Among riders, transportation stress dropped from 86% to 43%, while the comparison group saw no change. Families without rides reported growing worry and burden over the summer. Across 539 rides, there were zero safety incidents.
